Some images from my 3 recent visits to the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve.

Folks, if you don’t have anything to do and you’re tired of having every other
southern Californian standing in the queue ahead of you, here’s what I would
suggest. Hop in your vehicle, take I-10 west toward Palm Springs, head north
up Hwy 62 which is past the rest stop at Whitewater, go north about 7 or 8 miles,
stopping in the village of Morongo Valley somewhere at one of the stores or cafes
for grub and water, then turn off at the sign for the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve.
It will be on the right side, you turn at East(right) and drive down about a block
or so and then you see the driveway going in on the left.

If you do go up, make sure you sign the guest registry at the entry kiosk, and remember
you must be out by sunset.
