Rooftop solar in the news recently…

California attorney general and former governor, and running for
governor now, Jerry Brown visited PetersenDean Roofing and
Solar about a week ago. You can read about the visit here.

This company is one of the largest rooftop solar providers in the
country and the largest roofing company in the U.S.A. I believe.
They have an interesting concept of installing a roof that is complemented
by the solar component, they go hand in hand, and are not just cobbled
together with parts out of a bucket.

From my reading of the article, they are putting on 10 new employees a
month, in this depression, I mean recession. That is fantastic, when
everyone else is downsizing or outsourcing overseas. Way to go, PetersenDean!

Regardless of people’s politics, this visit by Mr. Brown has to be considered
good news, by virtue of spotlighting rooftop solar if nothing else.

Here is the link to the company website.

I highly recommend the photo archive section. I was really interested also in their
commercial solar rooftop applications. Yes they do commercial rooftop solar!

Does it get any better than this?
